Leadership through reading
Janie, who tutors 5 students 3 mornings a week at Mt. Zion Academy, sent a picture she titled Unintended Consequences. The kindergarten student in this picture has been working very hard with Janie 3 mornings a week. When they started together, he struggled to write his name and identify letter names and sounds.
He just learned to read small books himself. Janie suggested he read to the preschool students. She empowered him. He is not only reading to the younger students but taught them how to read the book! ⠀
